Horizon Credit Union Headquarters
Farmington, UT
“Big enough to compete. Small enough to care.”
Horizon Credit Union’s slogan reflects a deep commitment to their members and community—one that remains constant no matter how much the organization grows. When Horizon decided to redesign their existing headquarters, they saw it as an opportunity to create a space that would strengthen internal collaboration while enhancing how teams support the branch and its members every day. While a relatively small portion of the building serves as a member-facing branch, the majority is dedicated to offices, collaboration zones, and training spaces that support the frontline.
Horizon made the strategic decision to integrate their new building seamlessly with the adjacent operations building, creating a cohesive architectural flow across the campus. This continuity helped reinforce a unified identity within the credit union, along with specific branded environment design decisions. From integrated brand colors and graphics to subtle wayfinding elements and curated material selections, the space reinforces Horizon’s identity at every touchpoint. These intentional moments help employees feel connected to the mission while giving members a consistent, recognizable experience that builds trust and familiarity.
The new headquarters was thoughtfully designed to balance operational efficiency with human experience, ensuring employees feel connected, supported, and empowered in their work. By prioritizing staff collaboration, the building reinforces a simple truth: when employees thrive in their environment, that positive energy carries directly to the member experience. With IBG’s guidance, Horizon achieved a building that balances thoughtful design, brand expression, and functionality—creating a space where employees feel supported and members feel the difference.
